The
Minnesota Fishing Hall of Fame has been established to educate,
promote, protect and preserve the rich heritage of the Minnesota
Sport fishing. To that end, the institution will pursue these
fundamental goals:
- To
educate, record, preserve and make known the contributions
of individuals who have been instrumental in the development
of sport fishing.
- To
establish a permanent venue where the general public may further
develop an appreciation of sport fishing and its many vital
components.
- To
encourage and support the participation of our youth in a
wholesome, family oriented outdoor activity.
- To
provide a secure repository for the data, graphics, artifacts
and memorabilia that are of significance to the sport of fishing.
The visionary goals
set forth by such fishing greats as Al Lindner, Ron Schara, John
Peterson, and Al Maas will become more important in the future.
The Minnesota Fishing Hall of Fame will educate and preserve
Minnesota's rich fishing heritage, its culture, the relationships,
friendships, fun, and values that it fosters and
represents.
